Tumescent liposuction is a liposuction technique which has been specially developed by cosmetic dermatologists. The word tumescent means swollen and firm. Tumescent liposuction relies on large volumes of saline solution, local anaesthetic, and adrenaline being infiltrated into the fatty areas.
